Picnics are so much fun!
All we need is a rug and some tasty snacks.
However, we still make it a slightly more elaborate party.
We start the old Oto Melara and hang the flat cart behind it.
The flat cart holds the hay bales that we will sit on later at the picnic site. The flat cart serves as a table on which we display the snacks.
We walk out of our gate at the back of the garden straight into the field. All following the tractor with flat cart. We find a nice spot in the shade of old olive trees and park the old Oto there.
The snacks will be displayed on the flat cart. We will keep these appetisers in the "peasant picnic" theme. Featuring Piadine filled with stewed Erbe, straccino and prosciutto crudo. Shelves of local cheeses and sausages. And fruits and jams we make ourselves, such as Pear/ginger and fig jam.
And, as you well know, we are sometimes a bit crazy (see photo)!
We liven things up with music from the "fisarmonica" (accordion)
From Marina, Marina to Volare, we cozily play a tune in the background.
Meanwhile, guests enjoy the surroundings. The rolling hills and ancient olive trees. We are in the middle of "Il Campo" (which means farmland in Italian). There, the picnic basket is opened and the "peasant" food emerges. The chilled red wine tastes like more.
Because especially here in Le Marche, the red wine tried is very suitable for drinking nicely chilled.
