Every year, late July-early August, American culture from the late 1940s moves to Senigallia. The event of the year on the Marchigian coast. For 10 days, Rock-'n-roll, Boogiewoogie, swing, rhythm'n'blues and hillbilly flood the town on the Adriatic sea.
Back to the 40-50s
Summer at its peak, perfect for recreating the atmosphere of the post-war 1940s US south-east coast. After the 2the world war, people were looking for colour, fleur and more raw music. Anything that was at odds with the good, neutral clothes and especially the music was adored by young people. In those years, music got more rhythm and energy in its sound. Older people looked down on the nonsensical lyrics and rebellious music. But the youth, on the other hand, absolutely loved the exciting songs.
The Summer Jamboree mimics that atmosphere perfectly. You see it all around you. The festival is buzzing with energy, revelry and exuberant style. Colourful outfits, dashing dresses, red lipstick and quiffs are the norm here, while the sounds of swinging guitars fill the streets.
As if you stepped into a film, you see sailors in immaculate white trousers, elegant pin-up ladies and lovers of rockabilly style in tough army outfits. It is a lively show where the golden years of rock and roll come to life in spectacular fashion.
Music: The beating heartbeat of the Summer Jamboree🎶
The music is undoubtedly the real protagonist of the Summer Jamboree. Everywhere in the old town of Senigallia sounds of swinging guitars, rousing drums and ripping saxophones. With about 46 free concerts no spot is left unused: not only on the main stages, but also on street corners and squares the party erupts.
And with music from the 1940s and 1950s is simply standing still no option. Dancing is part of it! It is incredible to see how hundreds of people from all over the world - dressed in the finest dresses and retro outfits - take to the dance floor together as if they have been doing this for years. The energy is infectious: before you know it, you'll be venturing out for a boogie woogie pass and feel part of this magical era for a moment.

Want to improve your dance moves? You can! The Dance Camp is ready for you! 🎶💃 Whether you have a beginner are or you 50s skills want to sharpen, there is a level to suit you. Here you will learn the most fun rock 'n' roll moves, or refresh them again. Jive, Lindy Hop, Tap, Charleston - once the music starts, standing still is no longer an option! 🎷🔥
Vintage market
Dressing up as a stylish pin-up or a handsome sailor? Yes, preferably! What if you don't have the right outfit? Don't panic! Every day there is a special vintage market where you will find everything you need: from polka-dot dresses and cool leather jackets to accessories to complete your look.
Do you really want to go all fifties-proof are? Then pay a visit to the retro hairdressers, where you have a perfect victory roll or a tight quiff you can have it done. Before you know it, you'll look like you stepped right out of an old Hollywood movie! 🎬✨

As if the Summer Jamboree wasn't summery enough, you can go all out at theHawaiian Party! 🌞🌊 This legendary beach party will bring you the ultimate blend of rock 'n' roll and tropical vibes. Think swaying palm trees, sand between your toes, colourful garlands of flowers and of course swinging music.

Of course, a true fifties look is not complete without the right transport! Visit the oldtimer parade and admire the most magnificent classic cars from the 1940s and 1950s. Shiny Cadillacs, tough Chevrolets and iconic Ford Mustangs - it feels like you've stepped through a time machine. Who knows, you might just find your dream car For that perfect retro photo! 📸🚘

Another tip: it can be quite crowded in Senigallia during the Summer Jamboree. A parking space is often hard to find.
Park for free at Centro Commerciale Il Molino and get on the free bus transfer there. Every 15 à 20-minute buses run back and forth to the city centre.
